Project Synopsis:
"As an aspiring wizard you have enrolled in Grimwell's Academy for the Arcane Arts. You must choose a Hall to represent and further your education in the world of Magic! Go on exciting adventures, explore dangerous locales, duel fellow wizards, and show off your trophies in your very own dorm room! But be wary, between fighting wicked creatures and navigating dark dungeons, one mustn't forget to go to class once in a while!"

My key contributions to Arcane Academy include concept design, systems design, feature implementation, documentation, and vision maintenance.
This document is the Systems Design Document I created for generating equipment types as rewards for player accomplishments. The system breaks down items into quality (common, exceptional, masterwork, legendary) and generates based on percentage certain bonuses. These bonuses are then generated between a minimum and maximum number. These numbers scale according to level and more bonuses per item become available at higher levels as well. At the end of this document there are a number of charts which graph these numbers visually for easier digestion and interpretation. This document has proven invaluable in balancing numbers for encounters based on player level and expected stat bonuses.
